What VibeCheckMate does with your chat

When you paste a chat log or upload screenshots, that content is sent to our server and forwarded to OpenAI's API to generate your reading. We do not save your chat log or screenshots in a database on our end. The only place a copy briefly lives is your own browser's session storage, so you don't lose your draft if you accidentally reload the page — it's cleared when you close the tab or clear site data, and it never leaves your device.

Third parties we use

• OpenAI — processes the chat text/images you submit to generate the decode. Handled under OpenAI's API data usage terms.
• Stripe — handles all payment processing. We never see or store your card details; Stripe stores your billing information under its own privacy policy.
• Resend — if you request a restore-access link, we ask Resend to deliver that one email to you. We don't keep a copy of your email address afterwards — every restore request looks your purchase up live in Stripe and doesn't persist it anywhere on our side.

Cookies

We set one cookie to remember that you paid: it stores your plan and expiry date and, if applicable, a Stripe customer/subscription ID — nothing about the content of your chats. It's signed so it can't be forged, and it's not used for advertising or tracking.

Other people in your chats

If you paste a group chat, you're submitting messages from other people too. Only share chats you have the right to share, and be considerate of what you post publicly if you export or share a result card.

Children

VibeCheckMate isn't directed at children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

Because we don't hold a database of user accounts or chat content, there's very little of yours for us to access, export, or delete beyond what Stripe holds for your payment. For anything related to your payment record, contact us and we'll help or point you to Stripe's own tools.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will update the effective date above.
